Greywalls was built as a holiday home for its original owner, Hon. Alfred Lyttleton. As a keen golfer, he insisted that the house was built 'within a mashie niblick shot of the eighteenth green at Muirfield'!
With its warm honey-coloured stone from the local Rattlebags Quarry, and stunning views over East Lothian and the Firth of Forth, this property is luxurious and elegant, and will make your start to 2026 a truly special experience.
What it Includes...
30 December
- Arrive to a warm Greywalls welcome and settle into the festive spirit with a delightful cream tea served in the library or drawing room;
- As evening falls, enjoy a Champagned cocktail reception, followed by a candlelit three-course dinner, setting the tone for a truly indulgent stay.
New Year's Eve
- Start the day with a leisurely breakfast, then take the final day of 2025 at your own pace;
- Settle in front of the fire for a lazy day, or enjoy the outdoors with a dedicated walking map;
- Put on your finery ready for the evening celebrations beginning with a Champagne reception, leading into a spectacular Black-Tie New Year's Gala Dinner, complete with an evening of music and dancing to welcome 2026 in style.
New Year's Day
- Welcome to 2026 and, after a relaxed brunch, the day is yours to spend as you wish. Take a long walk and explore your surroundings, or just curl up with your favourite book in front of the fire...the choice is yours!
- From 2.30 pm, an afternoon tea and Gin Tasting experience will take place - the perfect way to toast the New Year;
- Indulge in a three-course dinner later in the evening, in the renowned Chez Roux Restaurant, offering a delightful end to the first day of 2026!
2 January 2026
- Enjoy one final full Scottish breakfast before bidding farewell to Greywalls, feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead!
