Lismore Castle Exclusive Use Experience
Lismore Castle is a luxury Gothic-style Irish castle on the banks of the Blackwater River.
Now the private home of the Duke of Devonshire’s family, it was once owned by Sir Walter Raleigh - the man who brought potatoes and tobacco to Ireland. Cecil Beaton, Lucian Freud, Fred Astaire and John F. Kennedy have all stayed here.
The castle's history can be traced back to 1185, yet there is no shortage of modern luxuries, including ensuite bathrooms, a cinema room and WiFi throughout the castle. It sleeps 8 to 12 in an intimate environment or up to 27 for a bigger gathering. Larger events are also possible and all are attended by the family’s private staff, led by Denis Nevin, the castle's Butler for the last 35 years.
Lismore Castle is available for private use throughout the year, including Christmas and New Year. The castle's concierge team will be on hand to help make all the necessary arrangements for your stay.
Prices start at €63,400 for a 7-night stay for up to 16 guests; shorter stays are available on request.
