What it Includes...
Christmas Eve
- Arrive at leisure, and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea served in one of the lounges, beside a roaring log fire. Bedrooms will be available from 3 pm, so relax and soak in the holiday ambience as you prepare for the days ahead;
- Enjoy the carol singers by flickering candlelight in the Tudor Hall, with a mulled wine or hot chocolate;
- In the evening you are invited to a sophisticated Champagne and canapé reception, followed by a three-course dinner and live music;
- Any guests who wish to attend a Christmas church service may walk next door to St. Mary’s Church for midnight mass.
Christmas Day
- Enjoy a delicious breakfast after you have enjoyed opening your Christmas gifts;
- Gather around the majestic Christmas trees in the lounge for a Champagne drinks' reception, followed by a four-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, served at pre-reserved slots;
- Feel free to join the team in the Tudor Hall to listen to a live radio broadcast of the King’s Christmas message;
- For those feeling adventurous, embark on the castle's 'Tudor Quest', a captivating treasure hunt to uncover the secret of the lost jewel hidden within the castle grounds. Or, simply settle into a cosy armchair by the fire for a more relaxed afternoon, with board games, or your favourite book;
- As the day winds down, an elegant pre-dinner festive cocktail, followed by an informal buffet is served in the lounges. Enjoy a casual yet elegant feast with your fellow guests, with live acoustic entertainment.
Boxing Day
- Take the time for a relaxing brunch, feast on steak and egg, roast salmon and a Bloody Mary - with or without the Vodka kick!
- Step into history with exciting Tudor inspired activities in the castle grounds. Channel your inner royal with a try at axe-throwing, or longbow archery, experiencing the thrill of these ancient pastimes;
- From 6.30 pm, join the team for a pre-dinner glass of Champagne in the lounge, followed by a five-course gala dinner with live music entertainment.
27 December
- Breakfast will be served in the restaurant from 7.30 am to 10.30 am, so you can take time to enjoy the final moments of your stay before being bid a fond farewell and safe onwards travel.
