What it Includes...
Christmas Eve
From 1 pm to 5 pm - Meet the team! Drinks will be served throughout the afternoon, while the Front of House team take your luggage to your room. A light afternoon tea will be served with seasonal sounds from the castle's pianist, providing a little sustenance ahead of a beautiful evening.
From 6 pm - Join the team for a pre-dinner drinks and canapé reception, with Christmas Carols and hand-bell ringing in the Lower Hall. Dinner will be served in both Samuel’s Restaurant and The Terrace Restaurant, at a time to suit you (advance bookings required). After dinner, tea and coffee will be served in the Drawing Room, with a selection of liqueurs and port until 11 pm.
From 10.30 pm - For those wishing to attend Midnight Mass at the local parish church in Masham, the team suggests you leave no later than 10.30 pm. Festive tipples will be available upon your return with warmed mince pies.
Christmas Day
From 7.30 am - 10 am - Happy Christmas! Enjoy a sumptuous Christmas morning breakfast in Samuel’s Restaurant or The Terrace Restaurant, complete with a celebratory Bucks Fizz.
From 12 noon
For guests dining in Samuel’s Restaurant:
Join fellow guests for Champagne cocktails served in the Drawing Room before being seated for lunch at 12.30 pm; the perfect opportunity to peruse the wine list. Samuel’s Restaurant, dressed in Christmas finery, is ready to welcome you to indulge in a traditional Christmas feast, prepared by Head Chef.
For guests dining in The Terrace Restaurant:
Champagne cocktails will be served in The Terrace Bar before being seated for the traditional Christmas feast at 12.30 pm. With the fairy lights twinkling, The Terrace Restaurant Bar team and Chefs will be delighted to welcome you.
3 pm - A chance to sit back and watch the King delivering his Christmas Day speech in the castle's private cinema, followed by Christmas films, or perhaps take yourselves out for a post-lunch walk around the grounds and parkland. Board games will be available in the Billiard's Room, along with delicious cheese, port, and sherry to keep you going through to supper.
From 7 pm - 9 pm - A relaxed supper will be served in Samuel’s Restaurant – before you enjoy an evening at leisure.
Boxing Day
From 7.30 am - 10 am - Boxing Day breakfast will be served in Samuel’s Restaurant and The Terrace Restaurant.
9.30 am strict - Meet in the Morning Room and join the castle's Concierge Team for a trip down to Masham’s historic town square to watch the Boxing Day hunt ride out. A guided walk and talk around the stunning town will then be offered, returning back to the hotel for lunch.
From 12.30 pm - Lunch will be served, then why not try your skills at Archery, taking place into the afternoon?
2 pm – 4 pm - Over to the Chef! Head Chef in the Cookery School will be running a hands-on masterclass. Either pop in and see when the next sessions will be starting or put your name down for a slot. Sessions will run on the hour for 45 minutes.
2 pm - 3 pm - Perhaps try your hand at Falconry? Swinton Park's resident Falconer gives you the opportunity to learn about the birds’ hunting and flying skills; experience holding a bird, and the thrill of a bird being flown to your hand.
4 pm - 5 pm -The very popular Fizz Quiz! Test your taste buds with a bottle of Champagne for the winner!

For guests dining in Samuel’s Restaurant:
Posh frocks and black tie are a must for the pre-dinner Champagne cocktail and Boxing Day toast.
7.30 pm - Dinner is served in Samuel’s Restaurant - a tantalising tasting menu accompanied by a flight of wine.
For guests dining in The Terrace Restaurant:
From 6.30 pm - The Boxing Day House Party commences! Join fellow guests for a pre-dinner Champagne cocktail and Boxing Day toast in The Terrace Bar, where the dress code is black tie and evening dress.
7.30 pm - Dinner is served in The Terrace Restaurant - a tantalizing tasting menu, accompanied with a flight of wine.
After dinner all guests are invited to the castle to try your luck at the casino tables!

11 am - For those departing today, it's time to say fond farewells and a chance to wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year, with a little Christmas gift to help you on your way!

All rates are per room for two guests for the three-night package, including overnight accommodation and breakfast, as well as the meals and drinks detailed above, plus use of the leisure facilities from 3 pm on the day of arrival until 11 am the day of departure, and a 35-minute spa treatment (back massage or facial) per adult guest. Please note: children's swim times apply.
Single occupancy rates are shown in brackets.
Rates for children sharing a room with two adults, including all meals within the package and use of a cot and high chair or z-bed, are:
Under 3 years: no charge;
4 years – 9 years: £315 per child;
10 years – 17 years: £485 per child.
Swinton Park is dog friendly, and the rate is £35 per dog, per night. Beds, blankets, and bowls are provided for your furry friends.
Additional nights - if you would like to stay an additional night before or after the Christmas break, preferential rates may be available. Additional nights are subject to availability.
Fully decorated Christmas trees are available to enjoy in your bedroom at a cost of £40 per tree. These are growing trees and, once they have been enjoyed this year, will be replanted on the estate so that they can be enjoyed again next Christmas. Please order your tree by 1 November 2025.
