What it Includes...

Christmas Eve
  • Arrive to a fabulous Champagne afternoon tea, served in the castle drawing room, with the resident pianist tinkling the ivories on the baby grand piano. Get settled in, relax by the roaring fire, or enjoy exploring the gardens and estate.
  • Join your fellow guests for a Christmas cocktail before a leisurely three-course dinner is served, accompanied by the Glenapp harpist.
  • Transport is available for guests who wish to attend the Watchnight service at the local Ballantrae Parish Church.
Christmas Day
  • Merry Christmas!
  • Enjoy a full Scottish Christmas breakfast at your leisure, and keep an eye open for Santa - he likes to drop by!
  • Relax and enjoy exchanging Christmas gifts with your family and friends, then why not indulge in homemade mince pies, and mulled wine?
  • Experience the incredible interactive falconry display with beautiful birds of prey swooping onto your leather glove.
  • A Champagne and canapé reception is arranged, prior to a fabulous four-course specially created Christmas lunch. Glenapp's Executive Chef and his team are proud to source the very best of local produce, both for freshness and excellent Ayrshire quality.
  • After lunch, experience the endless possibilities for walks on the coast, in the glen, and throughout the estate.
  • A delightful evening buffet is followed by entertainment and traditional family games.
Boxing Day
  • Another traditional Scottish breakfast awaits, and a morning of activities for your choosing. Clay-pigeon shooting, archery, and treasure hunts are all available on a complimentary basis, as part of the Christmas programme.
  • A light lunch will be served in the castle, accompanied by the Glenapp harpist, and your afternoon is then free to explore more of the Glenapp Estate or further afield.
  • Indulge in a special Boxing Day cocktail, followed by a three-course dinner, then don your dancing shoes and join in the Scottish celebrations, with a traditional Ceilidh band accompanied by Scottish Highland dancers to keep your toes tapping all night.

The rate for the Castle Penthouse Suite is for 8 guests.

Children are welcome at Glenapp Castle, and a few suites have sofa-beds in adjoining lounges, plus most rooms can accommodate extra beds. Children's menus are available.
Children up to 5 years of age are accommodated free of charge.
Children from 5 - 15 years are charged at £250 per night on a full board basis, and children 16+ are charged at half the above room rates. All charges for children are based on them sharing a room with two adults.

Extend your festive getaway...and dinner will be on the castle! Stay for an extra night or two, prior to or after the Christmas package, and the usual bed and breakfast rates apply along with a complimentary three-course gourmet dinner!
