Cringletie Christmas Package 2024

Cringletie House is a splendid Victorian Baronial mansion, located just 20 miles south of Edinburgh. The hotel has 13 individually designed bedrooms, each one with its own unique character and furnished to a high standard with views over the grounds and local countryside.

Take the stress out of Christmas this year and, instead, curl up by a log fire whilst being waited on hand and foot. This fabulous 3-night package starts from £2,625 per room, based on 2 people sharing a Classic double/twin room.

Christmas Eve

• Check in from 3 pm;
• 3 pm to 5 pm - Cream tea served in the Maguire Lounge;
• 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm - Meet fellow guests in the Garden Room for a glass of Champagne and Scottish canapés;
• 7.30 pm - Enjoy Chef's seven-course Tasting Menu, served in the Sutherland Restaurant.

Christmas Day

• 8 am to 9.30 am - A full Scottish festive breakfast, with Buck's Fizz, will be served in the Sutherland Restaurant;
• Take the morning to relax and maybe enjoy a walk or some games, indoors or out.

Activity options include:
*A walk on the hotel's Nature/Historical Trail (map provided)
*Board games in the Conservatory
*Croquet or Putting Green
*Outdoor Chess or Boules – in the Walled Garden

• 12.30 pm to 3 pm - The tradition that is 'Christmas Lunch' is served in the Sutherland Restaurant, accompanied by harpist, Charlotte Petersen;
• 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm - A light supper buffet is served in the Conservatory.

Boxing Day

• 10am to 12 noon - Festive brunch served in the Sutherland Restaurant;
• 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm - Enjoy the 'Taste of the Borders' cookery demonstration in the Conservatory;
• 1.30 pm to 3 pm - Archery and air rifle shooting on the lawn, with mulled wine, hot chocolate, and a sweet treat;
• 6.30 pm - Gathering of the Clan in the Garden Room, for a specially created 'Scottish Hills' cocktail;
• 7.30 pm - A traditional Scottish Burns Supper, served in the Sutherland Restaurant, featuring the castle's resident piper who will address the Haggis, with a wee dram;
• 9 pm to Midnight - Ceilidh dancing in the Conservatory with the Riddelfiddles Ceilidh Band.

27 December

• 8 am to 10 am - A final Full Scottish breakfast before you are bid a fond farewell...Haste Ye Back!
