Dating in part from the 14th century, The Hall is brimming with antiques and ancestral art, and surrounded by ancient countryside. Make yourself at home within the wood-panelled drawing rooms and large sitting room, enjoy a game of billiards or throw a dinner party in the impressive vaulted dining room.

The 12 bedrooms, 10 of which were recently refurbished by interior designer Rita Konig, sleep up to 22 people. Most rooms have views across the manicured gardens to the 12th-century Bolton Priory Church and ruins.

Sustainability is at the heart of the estate. The family’s team of staff will work with you to create bespoke menus showcasing organic produce from the estate's river, moors and kitchen garden, as well as looking after your every need throughout your stay.

Whether it’s hiking across the moors, fly fishing on the banks of the River Wharfe, or dining and dancing by candlelight in The Hall’s vaulted dining room, A range of activities and pursuits can be arranged within the dramatic surrounds of Bolton Abbey.

Pedal past scenic heather moors, or ramble up to the Valley of Desolation where a waterfall and wildflower meadow await. You may spot buzzards, green woodpeckers and playful otters, whose habitats are carefully preserved.

Hop aboard the historic steam train from Bolton Abbey’s very own station, for a cream tea with views of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Or spend a day visiting the quaint spa town of Harrogate, or the racecourses of Ripon, Wetherby and York.
