Spanning across 420 square metres/4,500 square feet, The Castle Penthouse Suite is an elegant four-bedroom penthouse, tucked away on its own floor, and is accessible through its very own private elevator. Sleeping up to eight people in four bedrooms, the entire apartment will be exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Watch the sunset and marvel at the stars whilst you take in the breath-taking views over the iconic Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran, and the Mull of Kintyre.






This sprawling, self-contained penthouse is home to the westward lounge and four stately bedrooms to sleep eight guests, each with its own bathroom.
Tucked away in the eaves of the castle's roof, you’ll find a state-of-the-art media room, as well as a library and games room for pre-dinner drinks or even a cosy night in. And for those in search of a little bit of extra indulgence, the apartment even includes a private sauna and treatment room.

The Castle Penthouse Suite features four individually-designed bedrooms: The Elsie Mackay, The Poppy Wyndham, The Kintyre and The Waverley. In each, you’ll find a super king-size bed (which can also be set up as twin single beds), fresh flowers, and luxurious bathrobes and slippers.
All bedrooms and bathrooms boast stunning sea views, featuring roll-top baths, walk-in showers, as well as a few little luxuries and extravagant amenities.

Optionally, a stay in The Castle Penthouse Suite can include your very own private chef, who will be on hand to prepare your chosen dishes, to be served in the suite's Dining Room, along with a changing selection of nibbles, snacks and fresh fruit.

History
The Glenapp Estate was already well established under the ownership of the Earl of Orkney when the industrialist, James Hunter (later to become the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Ayrshire), acquired it in1870 and commissioned the celebrated Edinburgh architect, David Bryce, to design a suitably magnificent home for him.
