Built in 1837, Stonefield Castle stands high on the famous Kintyre peninsula, offering guests spectacular panoramic views over Loch Fyne.

There are 36 en-suite bedrooms at Stonefield Castle. Three of the rooms have four-poster beds and all offer views over either the stunning gardens or the spectacular Loch Fyne. Each of the rooms is individually decorated in a tasteful style that is in keeping with the traditional feel of the castle.

Children are most welcome at the castle and additional beds can be added to a number of the bedrooms to accommodate families.

Dining

Stonefield Castle's award-winning restaurant has large glass windows that offer unrivalled views across Loch Fyne. The traditionally-Scottish menu is renowned for its locally sourced beef and seafood and is complemented by a selection of fine wines.

After dinner, guests can relax in the elegance of the wood-panelled bar, lounge or drawing room, complete with an open log fire and selection of local whiskeys.

Leisure

With its own 60 acres and woodland gardens that lead down to the shores of Loch Fyne, guests of Stonefield Castle can enjoy a wide range of activities, from walks and wildlife spotting to ferry trips and fishing.

Just two miles away, the pretty village of Tarbert is well worth a visit. As well as fishing boats and yachts, there’s a chance to see the harbour’s visiting pod of dolphins.

There are many walks and trails in the area to suit all hikers and ramblers. For those who prefer adventure on the water, why not go on a spectacular journey to Seil Island or visit the amazing natural phenomenon, the Corryvreckan Whirlpool.

Stonefield Castle can arrange fly-fishing on Loch Fyne, or even horse-trail riding at the nearby Brenfield Estate.

Stonefield is also a golfer’s paradise, with five courses all within 40 miles of the castle.
