800-year-old Norman castle with fabulous views over sea and land
If modern luxury combined with spectacular views and a unique historic charm feature high up on your wedding agenda, then Roch Castle could be the venue for you.
Fully restored to a high standard, this 12th-century castle sits high above the landscape atop a huge volcanic rock formation overlooking the magnificent Pembrokeshire countryside.
The castle is perfect for intimate weddings of up to 14 people, with receptions of up to 30.
Exclusive Use Weddings

Admired for its impeccable hospitality and cosy atmosphere, Roch Castle offers intimate weddings between November and March. All weddings are booked on an exclusive-use basis meaning you and your guests will be the only ones present at the castle for the duration of your stay.
Whether losing yourselves in the mesmerising, far-reaching views, or indeed, the deep velveteen sofas, Roch promises contemporary vibes encased in traditional character, away from your busy life and definitely far from the norm.
The castle features a bespoke, artistic interior, comprised from a carefully selected collection of works by a handful of artists, which are beautifully offset by its naturalistic canvas. Detailed hand-stitched tapestries, inspired by Roch’s Norman history, hang from high ceilings, a delightful sight for guests as they are welcomed into the castle.
An 800-year-old heritage brands this a truly historic property in which to celebrate your small wedding. The first known inhabitant of the castle was a Norman knight known as Adam de Rupe and many generations of his family have lived there since.
Inside Roch Castle
What was once an ancient fortress has certainly kept its historic footprint intact. From the exposed rock in the circular entrance hall, to the oddly-shaped room at the very top of the castle where the myth of Adam de Rupe lives on, you and your guests will encounter Roch’s endless wonders as you move amongst its five-foot thick walls.
The Sun Room

This is the jewel of the castle, located on the fourth floor, which has floor-to- ceiling glass walls and an alfresco-viewing platform on the original battlements. A striking, dark- framed metal and glass facade juts out from original stonework underneath castellated turrets.
The unique space provides an intimate cocoon whilst also a sense of freedom as it boasts breath-taking 360-degree landscaped views of Pembrokeshire.
The Dining Room

Greys of different hues and textures make up this sleek and regal room.
From a polished dark-wood dining table to luxuriously soft and comfy chairs and deeply coloured walls, its tranquillity extends to the views it showcases over endless fields beyond.
The Lounge

This is a high room of white-painted walls, architraves and beams with some exposed stone and a simple, elegant fireplace, above which protrudes a wall engraving of the family crest. Plenty of deep, sumptuous sofas dominate the floor but still leave ample room for mingling and dancing later on.
Your Ceremony
Roch Castle can host your wedding ceremony for up to 14 people in either the Sun Room or Lounge. The intimate chapel is also a lovely space in which to exchange your wedding vows, with its charming interior both alluding to the past and symbolising a celebration of your future together.
After the ceremony, stand at the top of the castle to be pictured against the magnificent, ethereal backdrop or have your photographer snap away as you both enjoy a refreshing nature walk in the surrounding countryside.
Your Wedding Breakfast and Reception
The aristocratic Dining Room can accommodate 14 people for a sit-down dinner or 30 guests for a buffet. The team at Roch Castle would be delighted to put you in touch with a private chef to create your favourite dishes for your wedding breakfast.
The Dining Room emits a calming atmosphere in which to dine with your nearest and dearest, enjoy the speeches and let guests toast the happy couple.
Taking the celebrations into the Sun Room, encourage your guests to wander out to the viewing platform to admire a sunlit Skomer Island, St David’s Peninsula reaching into the Celtic Sea and the rolling Preseli Hills heading to the heart of Wales. Then later, over a celebratory drink with your nearest and dearest, bask in these unparalleled panoramic views under a beautiful Pembrokeshire sunset.
Into the Evening…
For your evening reception, Roch Castle can host up to 30 guests, as they continue to wander freely having use of all the rooms.
An evening buffet would be served in the Breakfast Room and you are welcome to arrange live acoustic music for your evening entertainment.
Wedding Accommodation

Dotted throughout the property are five bedrooms, from the upper turrets of the castle to an almost-circular room in the round tower.
They all feature hypoallergenic bedding and are dressed in a relaxed, contemporary style with a natural feel. Each window has wooden shutters, ideal to keep out the glare of a rising sun and ensure a heavenly lie-in after your wedding celebrations.
The most notable of rooms is Ap Gruffydd, which boasts ample space, a cosy seating area and double aspect windows. The super-king double room features a separate bath and shower. It is located on the third floor so its view stretch for miles; a perfect outlook for the happy couple as they picture the shared adventures that lie ahead.
