Private GuestWe honestly can't thank you enough, it was an absolutely magical weekend for us all and all we have had is positive feedback about the weekend and the venue. The venue was perfect for our needs, and we were all very impressed by the standards of the property and the items in it. We felt you all as staff were supportive and helpful but not obtrusive when we were there, there was no pressure for anything and everything felt effortless with the house. I can personally say from the planning side, you and Jak were incredibly helpful and the interactive map was amazing and so helpful for planning and getting an understanding for the rooms. You guys went above and beyond, especially in the Highland games, so thank you to you for the images, Jak for leading, and for Ben for supporting the losing team (unfortunate for him) and ultimately Saskia for pulling through on our team!! The grounds were absolutely stunning, and everyone loved the little map (although they did still get a little lost at times). Any negatives aren't really negatives, and I'd say they are more just preferences rather than negatives, firstly, the wine and champagne glasses always feels more luxurious having longer and thinner stems (again not a negative as it's such a preference and a bit silly)!!! The other point that was raised was the fires, we LOVED the open fires and made it super homely and cosy, however, in our group someone comes from a wood burning stove family background and they feel there would be more heat given off having wood burning stoves in some of the rooms. As you can see, not really negatives, just suggestions I suppose. I hope the above is alright, if you need a condensed version or anything let me know and I'll happily re-word and put together for you. Again, thank you and the team so much! Good luck for the remainder of the year's weddings and events, we wish you all the success in the future. I'll keep your email on file for if we are planning dads early 70th birthday.
Private GuestWe had an absolute terrific time at Newhall, it is a very comfy place that comes with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, but the real superstar is the surrounding Newhall Estate with its very own, breathtakingly beautiful Glen, lots of trails, public and hidden, and an absolute vast variety of what Mother Nature has to offer. Thanks for honestly everything one last time. We will be back, that‘s a promise!
Private GuestIncredible walled garden and almost botanical garden like grounds.... 30 mins from Edinburgh city centre and 15 from the bypass for trips to the coast or up north: beautiful walks in the Pentlands on the doorstep... I'd lived in Edinburgh for years, driven past this place 100x and never new it existed!!! And you can get married there too!!
Private GuestGorgeous surroundings, beautiful walks, we really felt we'd escaped the noise of the city, whilst having the comfort of knowing we were close enough to pop in for a restaurant if we fancied! We remarked all weekend how comfortable the beds were, we were amply supplied with firewood- and the walled garden in autumn was an especial joy. Perfect creative haven. Thank you!
