Light-filled superior castle rooms are as sumptuous as they are spacious. Recently revamped, they have squishy double beds (king-size minimum), space to work, super-soft bedding, and statement décor. Twin bedrooms are available on request.

History
Earliest records indicate that in 1155, in the reign of King Malcolm IV, Malleville was an estate in the ownership of an Anglo-Norman Baron called Galfrid de Malle, who was Sheriff of Edinburgh and Governor of Edinburgh Castle.

Melville Castle is less than 7 miles from Edinburgh. It is possible to take a bus (around 35 minutes), then walk around 6 minutes to the castle. Alternatively, the city is just a 20-minute taxi journey away.
