The castle has been occupied by successive generations of the same family since its creation and remains a family home today. It is dedicated to providing a personalised stay for each individual guest, making it a wonderful house-party location, luxury retreat or a space to celebrate a special occasion with close family and friends.

Within the magnificent working estate there is endless space to adventure and roam. The grounds boast pristinely presented and captivating walled gardens beyond which spill out vast manicured lawns that lead to enchanting woods and farmland. The world-famous River Dee runs through the estate and its banks are brimming with a host of fascinating wildlife. This spectacular all-encompassing vista is enjoyed from each window and beckons guests to explore.

Accommodation

With 12 well-appointed bedrooms, Kincardine Castle sleeps up to 22 guests in 10 double/twin bedrooms and 2 single rooms. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, with the exception of one single room which has a private bathroom.

Activities/Leisure

Royal Deeside, a favourite of the Royal Family for several generations, has a wealth of leisure and country sport opportunities. Enjoy a day fishing on the spectacular River Dee, or stalking for roe or red deer. Book a day’s pheasant shooting through the beautiful woods and rolling farmland.

The local area also gives way to a range of country walks, hill walking and bike trails, enabling you to explore the majestic landscape.

A gun room and locker room is available to guests who are welcome to enjoy the estate at their leisure. The dedicated staff can help customise your Kincardine Castle experience by arranging outdoor sporting or leisure activities, both on and off the estate.

Kincardine is a stone’s throw from some of Scotland’s famous golf courses, including Gleneagles.

The gardens at Kincardine are superb: a huge red-brick walled garden featuring smaller sections lined with roses, wildflowers and colourful shrubbery with perfectly placed benches to admire the delicate floral archways, ancient gateways and pretty water features.

Kincardine Estate is focussed on regenerative woodland and farming with the aim of enhancing species' diversity and reducing its carbon footprint.

Prices

Private use of Kincardine Castle is charged at £5700 per night, inclusive of VAT. The price includes accommodation and breakfast for 22 guests with additional food and drink priced according to your requirements. A minimum 2-night stay applies.
