His ghost supposedly returns to the castle every seventh year, mounted on a fearsome white horse with silver shoes.

Christopher, United KingdomWe had a great one night experience in a real (but very comfortable) castle with friendly, professional staff. Our meal was fantastic too.
Private GuestAbsolutely lovely. The rooms, grounds, staff and food were all wonderful. Wish we stayed longer.
Evan, United StatesIf you want to feel like a king and queen i highly recommend! Service was excellent and friendly.
Deirdre, IrelandOne of the loveliest places we've ever stayed. The castle was so inviting and the friendliness was 5 star. Adored the spa. We had a lovely room up the spiral stairs. Food really good in Hermione restaurant. Loved the castle ambience. I do have one complaint regarding the room service food which was cold but I don't want that to be published
