Glenapp Castle is an award-winning, five-star hotel on Ayrshire's coast, with stunning period furnishings and interiors, surrounded by breath-taking gardens, forest, and seascapes.
The castle is accessed by a long tree-clad drive, its façade encapsulates the romance of the Scottish Baronial style with magical towers, turrets, and crenellations.
Once inside, a world of Victorian splendour is yours. Oak-panelled halls lead to the heart of the castle, offering stunning views out to sea and the famous volcanic outcrop of Ailsa Craig.
Bedroom Suites





There are 17 guest suites at Glenapp Castle. All of these suites are individually designed and lavishly furnished and equipped to the same high standard. Many of the upper-floor suites have superb sea views; ground floor suites face the garden and woodlands.
All of the public rooms at the castle are on the first floor. There are suites on the ground, first and second floors. All of these are accessible by lift, though some are more suitable than others for guests who have difficulty with stairs. The castle has good facilities and access for the disabled. Please ask at the time of reservation if you require these facilities.
The Castle Penthouse Suite





Spanning across 420 square metres/4,500 square feet, The Castle Penthouse Suite is an elegant four-bedroom penthouse, tucked away on its own floor, and is accessible through its very own private elevator. Sleeping up to eight people in four bedrooms, the entire suite will be exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Watch the sunset and marvel at the stars whilst you take in the breath-taking views over the iconic Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran, and the Mull of Kintyre.

History
The Glenapp Estate was already well established under the ownership of the Earl of Orkney when the industrialist, James Hunter (later to become the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Ayrshire), acquired it in1870 and commissioned the celebrated Edinburgh architect, David Bryce, to design a suitably magnificent home for him.
