Cluny Castle’s castellated outline appears strikingly against the soft, curves of the rolling hills and fields beyond. Its gardens and woodland grounds will enchant you and are a treasure trove just waiting to be discovered. Within, a grand, ornate wooden staircase continues the enchantment as it weaves between the floors of the castle. Vast gold-leaf framed portraits hang from picture rails between long, elegantly adorned windows which fill the castle with light, while historic family heirlooms can be found around almost every corner.

Cluny is offered on an exclusive-use basis and is located just 20 miles out of Aberdeen. Reception rooms

The beautiful Dining Room & Drawing Room create a memorable setting for smaller weddings of up to 24 guests.

The spectacular Tenant’s Hall can hold up to 94 guests for your wedding breakfast. Located directly below the Chapel, its beautiful stained-glass mullioned windows and parquet flooring make it the perfect location for guests to enjoy the evening’s festivities.

For a larger wedding, take use of any one of the various marquee sites across the estate, all of which feature the unforgettable backdrop of Cluny Castle. Choose your favoured marquee layout, size and theme, from informal country chic to opulent vintage style. Then imagine looking up through a clear panoramic roof to take in the blissfully beautiful evening skies!

Exchanging of vows

Cluny has its own unique chapel complete with a private courtyard entrance, stained-glass windows and dark oak pews, providing seating for up to 100 guests. Set your guests’ imaginations ablaze as they arrive into this magical and romantic ceremony setting, in which you will exchange your vows.

Reception drinks against a castle backdrop

Outside, sweeping lawns and grounds provide a perfect setting for the drinks reception. Guests may enjoy their celebratory Champagne and canapés in front of the castle whilst listening to the delightful and uniquely Scottish sounds of a piper playing the bagpipes on the ramparts!

Wedding breakfast

Cluny Castle prides itself on offering flexibility and freedom to couples celebrating their wedding day. One of the ways it achieves this is through their partnership with a handful of carefully selected caterers. Each of them is renowned for creating delicious food, using only the finest local produce, alongside an exceptional service.

Evening entertainment

Whether in a marquee or one of Cluny Castle’s grand rooms, you can select from a variety of evening entertainment for your wedding celebrations.

Cluny Castle can host the evening entertainment in either a marquee or the Tenant's Hall, depending on numbers. Usually, this would be a band, a ceilidh, or in many cases, a mixture of both. Should you also decide to book a DJ, they would usually play after the band until the end of the evening.

Accommodation

Cluny Castles offers luxury accommodation for up to 28 guests.

The West Wing is a self-contained apartment within the castle. It features its own private entrance and leads on to showcase beautiful, elegant interiors throughout. With five bedrooms sleeping up to ten guests and set over two floors, the West Wing provides luxurious and extremely spacious accommodation.

In addition, there are 9 further double bedrooms, which can be found on the first and second floors of the castle, for you and your guests to enjoy.
