Historic château an hour from Paris, flanked by two pavilions and at the heart of a 100-acre estate
Château de Bourron is a charming building in Fontainebleau, just an hour south of Paris. At the heart of a 100-acre estate, this magnificent property is flanked by two small pavilions, built in the early seventeenth century on the site of an old feudal fortress.
The château was built in the sixteenth century, but its foundations date back to the fourteenth. The moats are fed by a spring which provides a hint of freshness. Bourron translates as “bubbling spring” and inspired the name of the château.
Exclusive Hire
The château can be hired exclusively, giving you private access to its 9 bedrooms, 2 lounges, 4 function rooms and 100 acres of grounds; perfect for private stays, events, family reunions, romantic weekends and photo shoots.

Each bedroom is unique and is decorated with period furniture and wall hangings to retain the original feel. All rooms are equipped with bathrooms, hair dryer, separate wc, free, unlimited Wifi and direct dial telephone.
A wrought iron, horseshoe staircase, on either side of the property provides access to the château's reception rooms.
A range of additional services can be offered to complement your event, including à la carte dining or full board, sound system, indoor and outdoor lighting systems, massage, floral decorations, and entertainment provided by the château's partners.
The professional team at the château will do their utmost to meet all your needs and ensure that this historic venue is the scene of magical celebrations and glittering nights.
Leisure
Château de Bourron is set in 100 acres of enclosed, walled grounds.
The grounds encompass grass and woodland adjoining the forest of Fontainebleau. You can explore yourself, or with a guide, or even take a tour with sled dogs. You can discover a few surprises, such as a romantic spring from Neolithic times, called “source Saint-Sévère”, the statue of Céres to the north and the statue of Saint-Joseph under the clusters of trees.
There is a clay tennis court which is often available to use during the drier, summer months. There is also a children's sandpit close-by.
Those exploring the surrounding region and its rich heritage may wish to take in the Palace of Fontainebleau, the castles of Vaux-le-Vicomte and Barbizon, as well as various sites that were popular with Impressionist painters.
And of course Paris, with all its world-famous attractions, is just an hour away!
