The spectacular sight of Broughton Hall is one you will not easily forget. The 16th-century historic home stands proudly at the top of the estate and is reached at the end of a gated drive. Its entrance way is framed by tall columns and the long, sandstone property is awash with Georgian sash windows. One end features a clock tower whilst the other gives way to beautiful landscaped gardens.

Broughton Hall can accommodate your intimate wedding to a tee. With Dining Room space for up to 22 guests and the decadent Green Drawing Room seating up to 55, you and your guests will enjoy a magnificent feast.

Reception drinks against a historic backdrop

Enjoy welcome drinks in the Conservatory and 18th-century formal gardens, which reach out behind the hall to include sculptures, a stone gazebo and a pretty hedge maze. What a beautiful backdrop for your unique wedding photos!

Entertaining

As you move into the evening you can enjoy dancing and music within the Salon at Broughton Hall or, if you fancy a change of scenery, then why not move the party to one of the other venues on the estate, or even a marquee on the croquet lawn?

The five comfortable and elegant staterooms offer the perfect space for you and your guests to relax in and use as your own. The Red Drawing Room is a cosy space with a roaring fire, while the Library offers an enchanting and peaceful place to unwind. The Billiard Room will keep you and your guests entertained throughout the weekend.

By comparison to the stately Broughton Hall, Utopia is a stunning, timbre-glass-fronted contemporary building designed by Sir Michael Hopkins. Set within the original walled garden of Broughton Estate it offers an unrivalled location for your wedding day.

Utopia certainly lives up to its name and, combined with the walled garden, it can become an idyllic, simply serene setting for your ceremony. Choose to exchange your vows either inside the building or outside on the veranda.

Utopia’s light, open-plan space offers a relaxed and informal setting for your reception. It can seat up to 80 guests with a standing capacity of 120.

Watch it easily transform into the perfect party venue for the evening celebrations; the two smaller side rooms work wonderfully as a bar and chill-out area.

If your imagination has no limits or you are looking for some playfulness in your wedding day, look no further than Eden. Offering panoramic views of the stunning Yorkshire Dales, it can accommodate a marquee in its grounds and provides a stunning backdrop for your wedding.

Eden’s beautiful, white-walled interior creates a simple, crisp backdrop against which to exchange your wedding vows. Why not put your own stamp on the property by adding decorations akin to a charming vintage or country-style wedding?

Eden’s main reception room can seat up to 60 guests whilst outside this tranquil property you can have a marquee for a guest list of up to 250. So, gather your extensive list of friends and family and celebrate into the night in this fabulous, secluded, party house.

Your ceremony – atmospheric and intimate

Broughton Estate has a licence for civil ceremonies that allows you to get married at both Utopia or Eden. Both venues offer beautiful spaces to exchange your vows. You could also choose to have the service anywhere on the estate and simply conduct the official side of things within one of these venues at another time.
