Itinerary
Day 1-2 - Amberley Castle





The first stop of your tour is Amberley Castle, situated just 60 miles south of London in the picturesque village of Amberley in West Sussex. Amberley Castle is a luxury hotel steeped in over 900 years of history.
Immerse yourself in a bygone era at Amberley Castle; whether you want to explore the castle grounds, enjoy afternoon tea or play a game of croquet or golf, Amberley has plenty to offer. Located in a great location and easily accessible from London where you could visit The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and even Windsor Castle!
Day 3-4 - Coombe Abbey






After driving through scenic English countryside for just 3 hours, you will arrive at the second stop of your tour, Coombe Abbey, located in Warwickshire, in the West Midlands. Founded in 1150, Coombe Abbey has a rich and fascinating history with connections to the Gunpowder Plot and many regal guests, including Queen Elizabeth I.
Set within 500 acres of parkland, whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast, a keen walker, or a family looking for a fun day out, there’s much to see and do at Coombe Abbey.
Day 5-6 - Swinton Estate








After just a 2 hour 50-minute drive from Coombe Abbey, you will arrive at Swinton Estate, in the picturesque village of Masham, North Yorkshire.
Swinton Estate has so much to offer; you can choose from a myriad of fabulous experiences. A full range of outdoor and rural activities is available, such as shooting, fishing, or pony-trekking. You can hone your skills at the Cookery School, and explore the four-acre walled garden! Not to mention the Spa at Swinton, which includes a thermal suite, treatments, plus an 18-metre indoor pool. For outdoor enjoyment, the spa garden is equipped with a 10-metre natural pool, eco-friendly bathing in bio-filtered water, as well as an alfresco hot tub.
Day 7-8 - Thirlestane Castle










Just a 3-hour drive from Swinton Estate, you will arrive at the majestic,16th-century Thirlestane Castle! Thirlestane Castle sits amidst a quiet meadow landscape in lowland Scotland, yet is only 25 miles south of Scotland's capital, Edinburgh.
Thirlestane Castle has been in the care of the Maitland family for over 400 years, passed through the generations. There is plenty to see and do in the local area and, with Edinburgh just 25 miles from the castle, you will be spoilt for choice!
Day 9-10 - Dalmunzie Castle



Just a 2 hour 30-minute drive from Thirlestane Castle, you will arrive at the last stop of your castle tour, Dalmunzie Castle, located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, in the beautiful Perthshire.
Dalmunzie Castle is a stunning quintessential laird’s mansion, turreted in the Scots Baronial style and standing proudly at the head of a 6500-acre estate, dating back to 1510. Queen Victoria visited the castle in 1848 and quoted in her diary "It was so calm and solitary... all seemed to breath freedom and peace, and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoils."
The castle is nestled in the heart of Glenshee and is surrounded by breath-taking mountains, glens, and little rivers all a few steps away from the front door. The hotel has a golf course attached for those with a need to hit a few balls.
