Itinerary
Day 1-2 - Clontarf Castle
For the city portion of this 'Town and Country' break, you visit the fair city of Dublin. Clontarf Castle is located just 15 minutes from the city centre and you will spend two nights in one of the castle's Deluxe Rooms.
With a vast array of tourist attractions available to you, your time will be filled to the brim. Visit the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery, Dublin Castle, St Stephen's Green, Grafton Street shops and the bustling Temple Bar area. Historical pubs and live music on every corner ensure you a warm Irish welcome that sees visitors return time and again.
Day 3-4 - Wilton Castle
Drive south for two hours to spend the next two nights at Wilton Castle, set amongst wooded-parkland in stunning County Wexford, surrounded by the peace and isolation of the Irish countryside.
Visit the town of Wexford, just 30 minutes' drive away, stop off at Tintern Abbey and Colclough Walled Gardens, just 40 minutes' south, and the hidden gem of Baginbun Beach for a secluded seashore walk.
Or simply relax in one of Wilton's beautifully appointed apartments and enjoy the warm Irish hospitality of this lovingly restored family-run castle.
Day 5-6 - Ballyseede Castle
The third and final stop of your Ireland Town and Country Tour will be Tralee’s own Ballyseede Castle - just over 3.5 hours from Wilton Castle by car through the heart of Ireland.
You can choose to close your tour by relaxing in one of the castle’s luxurious bedrooms, indulging in fine dining and perhaps wandering through the pristine gardens on the estate. Alternatively, you can explore the local town of Tralee - a prime location for those who want a true cultural experience.
Visit the variety of historic attractions, eateries, and pubs in the heart of the town before returning to your very own castle home away from home!
