Stay in a Bridgerton-Style Home
The enthralling and occasionally jaw-dropping period drama has graced our screens with love, beauty and grandeur since 2020, and as Bridgerton Series 3 came to an end, fans of the powerful British aristocratic family’s lives, passions and general escapades would have (yet again) no doubt felt a little bereft. With the first half of this season racking up to 45.5 million views, it was the highest ranking of the series, not least incurred by the romance of the Bridgerton clan’s third son, Colin, and the clever and pretty, but unassuming, Penelope Featherington.
But, ‘Dearest Gentle Reader’, we at Celtic Castles do presume that some other captivating influences are certainly at play here to hook the Bridgerton viewers in so avidly; could it be the exquisite and lavish sherbet-hued costumes? The enticing and enchanting characters themselves? Or the breathtakingly beautiful and dreamlike interiors (and exteriors) of the houses of the ton..?
Surely it’s the heady mix of all this and more. However, our own story begins with the latter; after all, even if we do say so ourselves, Celtic Castles does have a degree of experience and expertise in this area...

Crossbasket Castle – for the Morning Room replica
It’s difficult to select just one room in this castle as an example of a Bridgerton-like interior because they are each equally entrancing, from the huge lavishly pulled-back curtains that reveal a romantic dining area, to the high cornice of the gold-leafed Baillie Room. But it is the powder blue walls, Regency-patterned rugs and cascading, floor-skimming drapes of the Drawing Room that gives us that true feeling of peering inside the Bridgerton’s Morning Room. Its ample entertaining space and occasional seating clusters are seemingly always arranged for an influential member of the ton to descend unannounced.
Imagine gazing through these almost-floor-length windows to the private sandy courtyard and the fashionable streets of Mayfair beyond whilst delighting in the elegance of this light-filled room. We would be hard-pressed to select a space more fitting to read Lady Whistledown’s musings over a morning pot of tea.
Rise Hall – for the sash windows and matching settees
The London Regency era of sophisticated architecture is apparent in the sash windows of Rise Hall. Criss-cross panes stacked together form long shimmering rectangles that create a pleasing straight-lined isometric aesthetic as they regularly intersperse the expansive façade. As expected, these large windows allow the spacious rooms to flood with light, giving a dreamlike quality to the rooms and showcasing the period details, such as intricate plasterwork, to their utmost.
Initially renowned for its property guru owner, Sarah Beeny, Rise Hall could now be winning hearts for its beautiful stateroom decoration. A nod to the Bridgerton’s Drawing Room comes in the form of three matching carved-backed settees emulating the pastel palette and Regency pattern seen on the room’s walls.
Imagine your very own intimate wedding in the style of Francesca Bridgerton at the foot of this immaculately presented room, fit for royalty with its glistening windows, mirrors and chandeliers.
Birkhill Castle – for the intricately designed wallpaper & rich fabrics
Within the pretty, undeniably feminine Drawing Room, ornate antique tables centre large windows, curved armouries create socialising nooks and a baby grand piano looks show-stopping against beautifully-papered walls. Opening the door to the library filled with splendidly carved wood and rich, detailed fabrics, guests of Birkhill will soon feel part of the furniture of Anthony Bridgerton’s Study.
Throughout the castle, romantic floral patterns and prints adorn walls, reminiscent of the delicate wisteria gracing Bridgerton House, in particular the nature-inspired green of the Drawing Room. The decoration is so precise it almost looks like a scene set for a take. During a Bridgerton-style stay, one could enjoy the delightful and thoughtful aesthetic perched on one of the many ornate armchairs or chaises-longues, each one upholstered in irresistible tactile fabrics of rich design.
Middleton Castle – for the croquet on the lawn
As seen in one of the final episodes of Series 2, the Bridgertons play a charming game of croquet on the perfectly manicured lawn of the family’s ancestral home and country estate, Aubrey Hall. We think that Our beloved Middleton Castle showcases a lawn just as pristine, complete with a magnificent Baronial backdrop and views across a scenic tree-dotted landscape.
During a Bridgerton break, weave through these sculpted topiaries, mallet in hand, trying to locate your ball before attempting your next shot in this relaxed and convivial family-friendly garden game. We don’t think lawns get more Bridgerton-like than this!
Celtic Castles full of Bridgerton grandeur...
Of course there’s no denying, we really literally could go on and on... There are so many more rooms in our portfolio of beautiful castles you can stay in that give off a Bridgerton vibe. Whether it’s the walled garden at Glenapp Castle or the ornate wrought-iron staircase of Hedingham Castle that mimics the elegance of that gracing the entrance hall of the Featherinton’s house; the exquisite plasterwork at Cluny Castle or the ballroom-worthy floor at Ballyseede Castle.
