The tradition of the property stems from its rich royal history. It dates from the early 16th century and most recently has been the former home of the late Queen Mother's sister. It has also played host to Her Majesty The Queen on numerous occasions.

As well as its royal connections, Carberry Tower's various function rooms, numerous dining packages and range of bedrooms, plus its close proximity to Edinburgh, will tick a lot of boxes for those couples looking to get married in a castle.

The property has 30 bedrooms, ranging from doubles and suites through to large family rooms.

Finally, with a location just 7 miles from Edinburgh City Centre, it’s wonderfully accessible.

The castle itself, walled grounds and 32 acres of land, prove to couples to be the perfect back-drop for their special day.

Whatever your size of wedding, Carlowrie Castle can offer a tailor-made package to suit you. The Orangery seats 120 guests and has beautiful views that extend over the grounds and woodland walks, For larger events, a marquee can be arranged for up to 450 people.
