Coombe Abbey, located in the historic county of Warwickshire, is an enchanting destination in itself.

A stay in this old converted 12th century Cistercian Abbey offers sumptuous bedrooms and delightful dining. You can even partake in Afternoon Tea or a Mediaeval Banquet. Step outside the door and you can wander through Coombe Country Park, 500 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, lakeside walks, and bird watching.

It is also a great base from which to explore the local area, with its charming villages and beautiful scenery.

Here are just a few ideas...

Stratford-upon-Avon

The birthplace of Shakespeare is a mix of quaint side streets, with unique and individual shops, to open parklands along the river. Visit the house where the world's most famous playwright was born and raised. Other attractions include Mary Arden's Farm, Hall's Croft, Anne Hathaway's Cottage; you can even take a ghost walk in the town!

Warwick

Warwickshire has been named as one of the best places to visit in Europe by the Lonely Planet Guide. A wander is a must to take in the town's historic charms, whilst delighting in the town's gift shops, tea rooms and art galleries. A visit to the town would not be complete without a stop at the magnificent Warwick Castle; battlements, towers, turrets, awesome interiors and the Great Hall await.

NEC Birmingham

Coombe Abbey is a great place from which to attend an event at The National Exhibition Centre, just a 30 minute drive away.

Coventry Cathedral

Coventry Cathedral is a beautiful and unique 20th century building, designed by architect Sir Basil Spence. Following the bombing of the city in 1940, the New Cathedral was opened in 1962, and contains some of the finest examples of 1950’s and 60’s Art and Architecture in the country.

Whatever you choose to do during your stay at Coombe Abbey, you are sure to have a wonderful time.
