Sprinkled throughout Scotland, England and Ireland, we have self-catering castles in a variety of locations to suit varying amounts of people.

We have focussed on a few suggestions below, but you can see a full list of our self-catering castles on our Search Self Catering Castles page.

LIBERTON TOWER

Liberton Tower is located just outside Edinburgh (indeed, the city itself and Edinburgh Castle are both visible from the roof of the tower). It is one of the smaller options, sleeping just four people, but makes an ideal venue for a family break to Scotland’s capital city.

April and May are beginning to fill up, but beyond that, we still have great availability for the summer months, with many weeks during June to September still available. At just over £1,000 for a full week during high season, this offers great value for money for a castle in such a desirable location. Shorter stays are also available. Check out our up-to-date availability for 2015.

CASTLE LAW

Fifteenth-century Castle Law is located around 25 miles from Glasgow and 70 miles from Edinburgh. It sleeps up to 14 people and its large hall makes for a great location to hold an authentic family celebration. The castle was lovingly restored by owner Davey Hutton and provides a fine balance of history and luxury.

Castle Law still has a number of weeks available through the summer months and can also still be booked for Christmas or New Year 2015 The weekly rate at high season is £3750, which based on 14 adults, works out at only a little over £38 per person, per night. Shorter stays are also available at certain times of year. Check out our up-to-date availability for 2015.

CRAIGSTON CASTLE

Craigston Castle is located approx 35 miles from Aberdeen, in north-east Scotland. It dates back to the 1600s and is the long-standing home of the Urquhart family. Following renovations, the castle re-opens for accommodation at the start of May 2015 and sleeps up to ten people in five bedrooms.

There are still a large number of weeks available throughout the summer months, as well as the Christmas and New Year periods. The cost of a seven-night stay for ten adults is just £2,600. Check out our up to date availability for 2015.
