Traquair Castle was originally owned by the kings of Scotland, then later became the home of the Earls of Traquair and is still lived in by their decendants, the Maxwell Stuart family. It is well known as the oldest inhabited and most romantic house in Scotland, and today this vibrant yet historic property welcomes you to experience the true Scottish culture.
Enjoy New Year in Scotland's Oldest Inhabited House!
Traquair offers its normal bed and breakfast package for the New Year. Dinner is not available, however the Traquair Arms, a short stride from the castle, offers great local Hogmanay celebrations, which previous guests have enjoyed.
With many attractions to see, both within the grounds of Traquair itself and in the local Scottish Borders towns, Traquair offers a lovely relaxing start to 2018.
